We focus on developing the best application for our customers and don't cut costs - quality is essential to everything we do, working software that always works! Alongside our phenomenal team we use many contemporary tools such as AWS, GitHub, Circle CI, New Relic, to name a few. Our approach to code is simple, keep it clean and ensure it has good test coverage. We don't ship code just to hit a deadline. At Smart, you will work collaboratively with experienced developers who will review your code and you will review their code, everyone is treated equal with a PR. This approach has helped us maintain at least 96% test coverage of our application meaning we can focus on features rather than bug fixing.

The Role 👷

Day to day here's what you can expect:

  • You’ll gain a broad experience of the FreeAgent application allowing you to discover exactly what’s happening behind the scenes when things haven’t gone as planned.
  • You’ll use your software engineering skills to track-down, report and prioritise bug fixes with our development team, and even write your own code to provide those much-needed tools, fix those pesky glitches and speed-up any repetitive tasks for you and your team.

Job Description

Our Interns in Software Engineering are responsible for keeping Square simple and making our users faster and smarter by giving them a designed payments experience and rich data surrounding each transaction. We’re looking for smart engineers of all shapes and sizes, who are excited about building world-class software and solving hard problems. Our challenges span many technologies, from web and mobile applications (iOS, Android) to server-side development (Java and/or Ruby). Position Description

We’re looking for a Senior Engineer that will report to the Chief Executive Officer.
